Stadium Associates is a company run by people in the Stadium sod business, along with people who just love the concept of providing fans with game used sod from the playing fields, or with authentic sod that is grown to be used at the ballparks.

The sod farmers are the ultimate “behind the scenes” people in sports, but their end product is something universally admired and even revered by fans.  The “wow” experience of gazing onto the beautifully manicured playing surfaces is a shared experience for all sports fans.

Not until the formation of Stadium Associates were the farmers directly connected to marketing people, who knew there was an audience for this product.  In 2008, we were fortunate enough to recognize, develop, and act on an incredible idea of Yankees Sod™.  With the acquisition of the necessary licensing approvals from MLB, we were able to bring to market the sod grown to be used in Yankee Stadium.  We thus became the first MLB national licensee for Yankees Sod™ and we got a terrific boost when the New York Times featured our company on a page one story in March of 2009.

As 2009 turned into 2010, we expanded our MLB license to include all 30 teams for Authentic Team Sod(tm), the NFL License for Authentic Sod and Game-Used Super Bowl XLIV Sod and added major licenses for college football, including the BCS National Championship Game, played at the Rose Bowl Stadium between Texas and Alabama.  More teams and sports are on the way!

We are dedicated to making the “wow” experience of gazing at ballpark turf into an experience that can be duplicated at home.   Whether in “small form” – a section of sod encased and preserved, or in “large form” – sod laid right onto your lawn – our mission is to provide fans with the ultimate connection to your team, and to the ballpark or stadium where your sports heart resides.
